Experience
I have always loved helping others gain confidence and ability in math. I love the one-on-one interaction of tutoring, as it gives me the chance to really explore how my student is thinking about and approaching their math problems. Sometimes what a student needs is a new trick or technique, but sometimes what they need is practice being coached through the problem-solving process itself. My experience: At the university level, during the course of my ph.D. studies I taught Precalculus, Calculus, and Common Core Arithmetic for Future Elementary School Teachers. In addition to tutoring several high school students, I've spent several years tutoring at drop-in tutoring labs for the University of West Georgia and for the University of Georgia. So I've worked with hundreds of college students on diverse math topics ranging from arithmetic and basic algebra to calculus and linear algebra.

Hobbies
When I'm not tutoring, I love to run. When I'm tired of running, I sing. When other people get tired of my singing, I read - I recently developed a weakness for young adult fiction...Divergent, read it!
